Why am I doing this?

3 times

That is the amount I have been puked on in the past 12 hours. (Jason told me I got cool points for not following suit, but I am not sure what I get with cool points.) Dillon threw up before bed, after cereal this morning, and then his bottle. There is really nothing I can do, but watch him and try and get him to drink some juice. We took him to the Dr. yesterday - nothing wrong - the picture of health. He is getting another tooth...that could be it.

A day without naps!

That was today for Dillon. He went to the babysitter for half a day, took no naps. Then he did not take any when he was home. I swear! So, as you may imagine...he was grumpy around supper time.

Oh, did I mention our air conditioner is broken?!?! It is SO hot in our house. I can't wait to get the new one in. It came in today, and hopefully we will have it in sometime by the end of the week. Again, did I mention...it is supposed to be almost 90 tomorrow and 90 on Friday?!?! Good times at the Ozenberger house.

We put Dillon to bed and are sitting outside so we can stay cool!

My first 5K...

Since Dillon was born that is. I got roped into doing a 5K on Saturday morning (I know Krista, you did not have to twist my arm too much!). It sucked just because I am out of shape. I did finish it and only had to walk a few times. I am now bound and determined more than ever to get back into shape.

Jason passed the physical portion of the firefighters examine. He has his first interview this week.

Why I love being a home-owner?

Having to buy a new air conditioning unit! Ours started to go bad after Dillon was born last year, which was not pleasant with a newborn. So now, it is either put an expensive band-aid on it, or suck it up and buy a new one.

I LOVE IT! Ahhh, I long for the days of renting...not having to mow, or fix anything. Those were the days!

Funky

I am in a funk - a rut. I can't figure out how to get out of it. I feel big things are on the horizon, but I have never been good with patience. I am sure this weather is not helping. What? It has been three days since we've seen the sun.

Yesterday was my first mother's day. It was nice. Jason and Dillon got me this cool jacket I had wanted and a wonderful card. We kept Dillon up all morning so when he went down for his nap, we joined him. He took a 2 hour nap! We took almost the same! That was nice. Downfall, I am not used to taking naps anymore, so I could not get to sleep last night.

Have a good, dreary Monday!

Are hoodies really cool?

A new spin on hoodies.

I also realize that I look like I am the same size as the tree - good choice of background.

Sore throat

I have a sore throat. It is weird - not like one I have had before.

Jason tried to break his foot last night. I got a call on my cell with him saying, "Hey, what are you doing? I think I broke my foot." Just the kind of call you like to get when you are in the middle of a meeting. His resistance band broke and nailed the top of his foot. I think he is ok with a lot of ice therapy.

I am really not wanting to do anything lately. I think it is time for a vacation.

On another note: I have been giving my husband a lot of crap lately and I got called out on his blog. I will now keep quiet - no more poking fun. He can dish it, but cannot take it.

Dog

I told you my son was part dog.

Finally Friday

I am sitting her working, waiting for my mom and aunt. I have to go to Lake for a presentation to 7th graders! They will watch him while I am gone. The great handoff.

I think Dillon might be half dog. He likes to crawl around with stuff hanging out of his mouth. It is pretty funny. I guess I will worry if he starts barking. He loves to torture the cats, which further enforces the half dog theory. He is so curious - it is neat to watch.

Have a good weekend!

It is official

Dillon is saying Da-Da. We took him to the Dr the other day and she said, "Oh, he is saying Da-Da now?" I guess that confirms it.

HAPPY MAY DAY!

I forgot to say HAPPY MAY DAY! When I was a kid, we used to take May baskets to people's houses on this day. There was another tradition that went along with delivering the baskets. Just ask me and I will fill you in. It was fun! I have never heard of others doing it though. Jason thought I was nuts when I told him about it. Is this just an Iowa thing? Anyway, enjoy!

So it's been a while...

But honestly, there is not too much to talk about. Dillon just keeps growing and growing. Yesterday he really started to babble. Jason swears he is saying Da Da. I am not sure - or else I am in denial. How is that? I birth a child and he says Da Da first!!

I decided to walk at graduation this coming Saturday. My mom and aunt are coming down and Jason and Dillon will be there too.

We take Dillon to the Dr today for his 9 month check-up.
