Haircut and color

I get my haircut and colored tomorrow. So now starts the usual battle before the appointment...do I cut it off or grow it out? I never fully decide till I get there. If you have any suggestions, let me know. It is definitely getting colored - I need to hid the gray more.

Tuesday is our big youth event for work, so I will be stressing until then. Hopefully, after that, things will slow down.

Who needs sleep?

I guess I do not. I went to bed around 10 and laid there. I finally got up and decided to do some work. So, here I am.

This weekend went by way too fast. It was so nice, we were outside a lot with Dillon. Yesterday, we all went for a ride on the trail. Dillon enjoyed the trailer. He had his cereal, so he was good to go.

Tomorrow will suck! I will probably be so tired. What a way to start the week!

Rocky Balboa

That is Jason's new name. Last night we went to Tequila - a Mexican restaurant - to eat with Rachel and Elliot. Dillon and Elliot were at the head of the table playing. Towards the middle of the meal, Dillon started to squeal. He likes to hear his voice. I don't like it, but what am I to do? It was already loud in the restaurant. There was a table behind us that I noticed was shooting dirty looks. Well, the man proceeded to tell Rachel that my son needed his lips sown shut. I did not hear what he said, besides...he obviously hates life, so whatever! Jason proceeded to try to get him to go outside and fight him. Rachel was right behind him, so I was playing the calm role! Not that I don't think this guy is a raging butt hole, but I have no control over him! He means nothing to me.

Anyhoo, Jason's version is better.

Loser!

That is me. I have not ran for almost a week! I did not feel good over the weekend and this week, I have been too busy. I see my chances for making the 1/2 marathon going WAY DOWN. You know what...Don't really care. I really decided I like running about 8 miles. That was good for me. I also want to start lifting. Maybe this fall when I am in better shape. That is the bottom line. I am trying to get in shape in 3 months and it is not working. I need a lot longer because I was out for so long. I want to feel good and not get sick or hurt myself trying.

Anyway, that is about all I know. As Jason said - pretty boring.

My little boy-

My beautiful little boy has turned into the spawn of satan! If anyone would like him for a day or a few years - let me know.

Another boring post for my two readers:

We traveled a lot over the weekend. We went to KC on Thursday night - I had to work Friday morning. Then up to St. Joseph - lunch with friends, and on up to Clarinda, Iowa to visit my fam. It was a nice trip. Jason and I got to eat out alone Saturday evening thanks to Grandma! We had great Mexican food in Clarinda of all places!!

Saturday, I wasn't going to run. After lunch I felt very motivated, so I went. Finding nine miles in a town with a population of 5,000 is very difficult! I made it. I had to walk two times towards the end. I was stinking hot! I wore too many clothes. Last weekend, I was wearing heavy, heavy clothes. I could have worn shorts this weekend! I swear.

I am still iffy on the 1/2 marathon. The next few weeks are very busy for me, so weekday runs will be few and far between. I am not sure I can make it on just my long run on the weekend. We'll see....the saga continues!!

Random story

So I "volunteer" at Stephens College as a counselor. I was there one night last week, when all of the sudden I decided I wanted a soda. I was in between clients, so I eased down to the sodie machine. I was getting my soda when I noticed the girl at the next machine (chips and candy) looked upset. The machine had not fully spun and her Cheez-Its were stuck! I asked her if she shook the machine and she said she had - with no luck. About that time, I really look at her and realize that she weighs about as much as Dillon. I told her to move, put my hip into the machine, and down came the Cheez-Its. I commented to her on my way out that hips were good for something. I saved the skinny girls life!! I am sure that is all she had to eat that day. Alicia to the rescue!!

Hey Cheez-It people - I am available for commercial spots!!

Made it just a little further!

I suited up this morning to attempt my long run for the week. Man was it cold! I headed west first b/c the wind was blowing hard from that direction. I did something I had always dreaded I would do. I got out too far before turning around. Needless to say, I was pooped and it was slow going for last 30 minutes. I made it 8.35 miles. I ran for a while on the MKT and who did I see riding his bike? Nate Means Crazy boy! Hopefully he did not realize how bad I was dying.

On another note, Jason let me wear his Garmin Forerunner 205. It was awesome and a little sucky to see how fast I was going and my mileage.

On one other note, my husband is a piece of work!
