11 months old

Today Dillon is 11 months old. He is pretty much walking. He still can't stand up on his own without holding on to something, but once he gets up, he'll let go and walk. He is still unsteady, but get better each time. It is so neat to watch.

My husband

I think there are many people that know Jason pretty well, but there are a few people who REALLY know him. I will not give away any of his secrets, but I think people need to know how amazing he is. I have never met anyone like him and never will again. He is the strongest person I know and I am pleased to get to spend everyday with him. Many of you don't know that he is an gifted writer. He can write like a dream and I love reading all his stuff.

I know he has been down in the dumps since his wreck, so I wanted to remind everyone how wonderful he is!

Taking care of two babies

I always say this in a joking manner, but now it is true. Jason crashed at the race Sunday and now I am taking care of him and Dillon. He crashed bad enough that we had to make an ER visit Sunday evening once we made it back to BOCOMO. He is ok, just tender, sore and helpless. It is times like this that I often wonder how single parents survive. I really do not think I could, especially with a little child.

Last week we were on vacation. We did nothing exciting, just hung out and had a good time together. It was very nice. So nice that I have decided I do not want to work, nor do I want Jason to work. Hmmm, have not figured out how to swing that one yet!!! If you have any ideas, please pass them along.

Today is my birthday!

Ah yes, a shameless plug! I am currently accepting $50 bills. I am 30 today. It really does seem right. I remember when I was younger and people I knew turned thirty. I thought that was SO old. Funny how it doesn't seem as bad now! I was also talking to a lady the other day and she mentioned that she was forty. It hit me...she is only ten years older than me! Yikes! Oprah did flinch at forty or fifty, in fact, she says it is the best! I bet I would say that too if I had her money!

Have a good weekend!

Stealing Jason's blog picture

I am stealing the picture to save my family the cussing in Jason's blog. We did have a poopy trip to Minnesota last weekend. The wedding was great - Dillon was bad. Thanks to Steve and Margaret for putting us up (Molly too!). And thanks to Curt and Krista for not killing Dillon or Jason and I as we fought about Dillon not sleeping. One more thanks to Lesley and Krista for giving me little breaks from Dillon so I could shower and stuff like that. (Jason was doing wedding stuff.)

All in all, it was good. We are glad to be home though. Did I mention my birthday is Friday and that I am turning 30? You know where the party is!

Busy, busy, busy

Boy, have we been busy lately. Saturday and Sunday was the bike races here in Columbia. Haley's house is right on the course, so Saturday Dillon and I went to swim with her and Sam. We had a great time! The next day was the Crit downtown. After that, I brought Dillon home and gave him a bath. He pooped in the bathtub! Thank heavens it was solid again! I thought that was very funny and very gross at the same time!

Next week we are on vacation! We have nothing planned, but hope to relax!

A week from Friday I turn 30. We are having a party at our house. If you want to come, we'd love to have you, but let Jason know so we can have enough food! Bring a side dish and your favorite drink!

The American Dream

Whoever said that owning a home was the "American Dream" should be beaten! So you know we replaced the air conditioner last week. This morning the Roto Rooter man was here unclogging our drain of roots and such! Did I mention our stove has been acting up? Not totally broke yet, will that be the third money sucker, or will it be something more expensive? The funny thing is (not really) the guy we bought the house from lied about the age of the air conditioner and was SUPPOSE to tell us about the drain in the house. The Roto Rooter guy said they had cleared it about two years ago and he should of shared that with us! I would also like to point out that the man that sold us the house is a minister here in Columbia. Just goes to show you, there are very few people you can trust.

I will keep you updated about the next money spending project for our house!

Just remember...the American Dream!!!!!!

WHOOOHOOO!

You are looking at a provisionally certified LPC!!! I passed my test. Got the results yesterday in the mail. I am so happy. The test was hard and I was worried about having to take it again. No way! Now all that is left is to complete my supervised hours and I will be a licensed therapist.

PS: Did I mention that now I can get paid for therapy! What a concept!

Pain in my neck

No this is not a duplicate entry...the pain in my neck is back. This proves to me now more than ever that it is stress related. I feel like total crap because of it.

Dillon has had a little milk today and so far, kept it all down. He still would not eat cereal this morning. I guess we'll try again in the morning. The kid thinks he can live off juice and graham crackers.

TGIF!
