Add 15 minutes:

Well I did it! I ran for 1 1/2 hours. I paid for a day pass to the ARC, so I could use their indoor track since it poured rain ALL DAY!! I felt pretty good. The last 20 minutes were very hard. I ran yesterday to "spin my legs out". That hurt. Today I feel like someone is punching me in the thighs. No run today!! It is time to start core stuff (just call me Curt). My back has been hurting after my long runs and my upper body is so tired. I know it is because I have to hold myself up for over a hour with weak muscles.

So the question is looming - will I be in shape to do the STL 1/2 marathon in April?

Anyway, enough about me. Dillon is doing pretty good. He cracks me up! I think Jason is over his stomach bug - hopefully he did not give it to Dillon or I.

Sickness in my house-

So Jason has been sick for almost a week now. Stomach issues. I am pretty sure he has the flu, but our Dr told him he has a"bug". Gee, thanks for that! So needless to say, we have not done too much this week.

I ran Tuesday and felt good. I ran last night and made it 16 minutes! Yes! I feel a little sickly today. I hope I get to do my long run this weekend...I think the weather is supposed to be icky!

Getting back on track:

Last week I went to DC for work. The weather there was terrible. Of course, the day we went to Capitol Hill it sleeted. The sleet that collected on the ground was a weird consistency. Anyway, made it back Thursday night, late. Some of the people from Missouri that went did not make it back. They were on US Airways and all the flight to KC were cancelled. Suck!

So I did not run for a week. I did walk a ton though, so I decided to do my long run yesterday. I made it a hour and twenty minutes. What I won't do is tell you how many miles I ran in that time period. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed. Oh well, I just want to finish, right? I am getting discouraged.

Anyhoo, I am happy to be home with my family again. I sure missed them while I was gone.

I am still here. I had troubles moving over to gmail, because I do not get along well with computers.

I went to DC last week. I will tell you all about it later. Now, I have to spend some time with "Big Daddy".
