???
Does Joe Biden ever change suits? I swear I see him wearing the exact same thing all the time.
Did I ever tell you about the time I met Joe Biden?

That's it - had it!!
I am tried of constantly being in contact with people that have no clue what it is like to live in the real world. I mean come on...
Don't for one minute think you even have the slightest idea about me because you "know me" or can relate to me on some minuscule level.
Isn't it fun when I talk all cryptic???!!! (How is that for English?)

I want to be a therapist!
As many of you know, this is what I went to graduate school for. I am currently not practicing, but am starting to get the itch to do so again. I would really like to do some therapy on the side. I am thinking of incorporating the talk portion of the therapy into some sort of exercise. Why you may ask? When I was training for the marathon I never completed, some of the best conversations I had (and the most therapeutic) were while I was running. There is something cleansing about exercise so it seems like a good fit. And a lot of people talk about wanting/needing to lose weight in counseling sessions.
What do you think? Am I on to something? Would you do it?

He did it! Brodie is crawling. It is still a little shaking, but folks, we are off!! Big brother is already annoyed because the first thing Brodie does is crawl over to big brother's toys. The gloves will be coming off soon!
I have to take Brodie to the Doctor tomorrow for a follow-up appointment. Hopefully, they will let me take him back to day care. I need to get back to work. (Wow! Did I say that?) Mommy needs some adult conversation!!
I really had higher expectations for our next President.
This is an piece from a story on abc.com about the inauguration. I had hoped Obama was for the people and not for the executives. I guess the "average Joe" does not pay his salary - the salary that allows him to send his children to private schools anyway!! This must be how the bankers say thank you for being allowed their bonuses.
The biggest group of donors were none other than the recently bailed-out Wall Street executives and employees.
"The finance sector is well represented, despite its recent troubles," Ritsch said. "Those who worked in finance still managed to pull together nearly $7 million for the inauguration."
The donors will get some of the best seats in the house for the inauguration, as well as admittance to some of the best balls and other events.

My baby is sick as you all know. We ended up at the urgent care clinic this morning and found out he has RSV. I feel so bad for this little guy. He is on breathing treatments and has had 2 already today. He seems to be doing a little better. I will have to take him to our Doctor on Tuesday to follow-up.
If there is one thing I have learned from being married and having kids it's that "it is always something"!!

Let me start by saying I have been VERY angry lately. It is mostly at stuff I cannot control and I am not usually like that. If it is out of my control, I usually let it go. I am just really tired of being surrounding by idiots. The icing on my cake, believe it or not, was a story Jason told me about one of his co-workers. No bearing on my life at all (beside taking my tax paying $), but still...I am thinking, from here on out, I will refuse to tolerate stupidity and laziness. We need to resort back to survival of the fittest. I am game - try and keep up with me.
Enough spewing of hate for this evening. Tomorrow is another day and it is Friday!!

You may or may not know about what I do for a living. Part of my position has me working with legislation. Today I got to meet with Chris Kelly, a Representative from these parts, actually SOBOCO. He is a nice guy - a straight shooter, but seems like a good guy. For as many years as I have been doing this, legislators still intimidate me. I know my stuff and they still make me nervous. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I can testify in front of a committee and talk to anyone I meet, including the media, but part me one on one with a legislator and I sweat!! Maybe I have issues with people in power??? Analyze that one for me...

I have really decided that I do not want to work anymore. The trick - trying to find someone to pay me my current salary to do NOTHING. You see, I don't want to not work alone though. I want Jason to not have to work too. We could all hang out together, live and not have to worry about paying bills. I guess that is called winning the lottery or getting a big inheritance. Since neither is on our horizon - I guess I can dream, huh? It is not that I do not like my job - I just think life is too short for anyone to have to work.
Stay tuned for my next post where I will be talking about little elves and magic rainbows. :-)
Man, I am really funny!

He said it!!!!!
Brodie said "ma-ma"!!!!!!! Dillon said "da-da" first, so it is only fitting that my second would say "ma-ma" first. It is so cute! I am so proud!! He is also straightening his legs when he gets up on all fours - like he is going to crab walk. It will be interesting to see if he really crawls or just goes straight to walking. So much for my baby! He is growing up so fast!! :-(

Post Holiday Blues
I am suffering from a major case of the post holiday blues. I usually do not, but this year it hit me hard. Sigh.
That is about it for us - back to work and getting back into our normal routine. Dillon read his dad a book before bed last night. I know he has it memorized, but he follows the words with his fingers while he says it. I think the connections are being made. Little crap will probably be a genius!

The new year is here. I am not sure I am making any resolutions. Maybe next year. I still need to survive the first year of two children. I am more than half way there and just about the time I am thinking it is getting easier - something slaps me in the face. (I still love it.)
C and K came up for a visit and they were awesome about keeping Dillon occupied. It gave Jason and I a little break. The dogs kept him entertained too! We had some people in for New Year's Eve and it was A LOT of fun! Thank you to everyone who came and shared yummy food!!
So best wishes to all this new year and have fun!!
