Walker?

Brodie is walking some. This is new for me. When Dillon learned to walk, he took off and ran. Brodie will walk some but he falls a lot and then crawls. I have noticed that he takes off now walking till he falls. So my dilemma...when to count the walk for the record. I know, sounds silly. See you have to understand, I don't do baby books. I keep a planner/calendar every year. Folks, my life is in those calendars. With that being said....I am missing 2006. I remember a lot of when Dillon did all his milestones, but I would still like to find it.

Dillon starts swim lessons in a week and we are still trying to decide if we want to do soccer or not for this summer. Some of his swim lesson interfere with the soccer. We'll see.

Countdown to DTV

What does the countdown to DTV have to do with anything in my life? Not too much except for the deadline is the day after Brodie turns one, so I have a constant reminder of how far away his first birthday is. It is about 19 or 20 days away!!! Guess I better get a party planned huh?

So I guess it is time for an update. Not too much new going on, except that in less than one month my baby will be one! :-( I stopped nursing him...he is a milk baby. I was saddened, but I have to admit, I think Dad is kind of enjoying putting him to bed. He has done it all week so far!! I am so blessed to have a husband that is so interested in his kids and helping me out with them. I hear horror stories about men not changing diapers and think - WOW!! To each his own. That is their prerogative, but I am thankful.

Dillon is quickly approaching four, which also in not possible. He is absolutely obsessed with digging in the dirt. Yes, 100% boy!!! He has an eye doctor appointment this afternoon, so I hope all goes well!

I am looking forward to this weekend. It is suppose to be nice and I want to get in a TON of family time.

Tonight, I get to go out and eat with my husband - ALONE!! I am very excited about it. We do not get to go out alone as much as we'd like. Maybe, once every couple of months. We do not have family close by and if you have kids, you know there is not people knocking down your door to babysit on a Saturday night! How do we do it without a lot of alone time? Sometimes we don't. Sometimes it causes a lot of tension in our relationship. We get through it though. One day our kids will be older and we will get to do more again as a couple. We were lucky enough to have couple time for seven years before Dillon was born.

Anyway, bottom line is I am excited to get some time with my husband tonight.

I have had so much going on in my life that I have almost just disconnected. To be totally honest, I am not sure I am ready to reconnect. I am trying to stay reconnected at home for the sake of my family. Again, being honest, I have not felt this lost in a long time. I am trying to think positively...thinking this will only be a growing experience for me. Hope, hope...

Today is May Day! I did not have Dillon make any baskets, but it was ALWAYS something I did as a kid. I have yet to find someone else that did it. It must be an Iowa thing, or an era thing. It sure does not look like May Day outside!! :-(

In 10 days, Brodie will be 11 months old. Dillon has already begun planning his fourth birthday party! Watch out!!
