Why am I doing this?

This and that

I have a new pet peeve. I like automatic flushing toilets because I do not have to touch it to flush it. I hate automatic flushing toilets that barely let you get stood up before they flush! Hello, I want to step away from the toilet before it flushes! There is this thing called splashing!! Anyway, hate it and it seems state buildings are notorious for this "no wait" flushing!!

I am about 5 months along now in this pregnancy. Hard to believe I only have about 4 months to go! We had a big youth event for work yesterday. I am getting a little worried. I had a lot of people ask me when I was due. Upon telling them June, they all looked shocked - like they were expecting me to say April!! Am I huge? I know I am a little bigger now than I was with Dillon, but this is my second pregnancy. Anyway, I also had two people tell me I was glowing. Is that just something people say? If not, can someone explain to me how I look different or glowing. I am not being cynical. I want to know!!

OK, that is it for today. Still no name. Jason and I cannot agree on anything.

Pouring ice

So it is pouring ice at my house right now. Needless to say, I did not make the drive in to Jeff today. Jason did not even try to make it to Ashland. I think we could have made it there, but we would now be stuck!! I am not going to be stuck somewhere without my boys!!

So I am been noticing something lately. There are a lot of men in the world that are at their wives/girlfriend's beckon call. Jason calls it whipped. Call it what you want. I don't understand it. Maybe people think that is how the Ozenberger house works, but it does not. (I often wonder how women get this control - I would be willing to try it! lol) Jason and I have a good split with sharing the decision making. Just been thinking about it a lot lately and Jason and I have been talking about it a lot too.

One other thought - My Space. What is your opinion about a co-worker of the opposite sex posting on your page when you spouse does not know him/her?

It finally happened:

I was the recipient of the wonderful viruses traveling around. I thought I was going to smooth past it all. Thursday night, I had to go to KC for a work thing on Friday morning. Jason and Dillon tagged along. I started to feel bad then. Made it through my presentation Friday morning and then we went to St. Joe after that. By Friday night, I was feeling REAL bad. I went to bed after Dillon and then spent a lot of the day on Saturday in bed. We came home Saturday and we just hung around the house cause it was nasty outside. I felt a little better yesterday and feel about the same today. I am pretty picky about what I take when I am pregnant, so I have only been taking Tylenol and sleeping with the vaporizer. I really hope I feel better by the end of this week, because my next two weeks at work are pretty rough. I hope all you out there have avoided this!!

We are trying to think of boy names, so send me your suggestions!!

Place your bets!!

Alright, any bets? Any predictions?

It's another boy!!! Of course, we are excited! Jason is oh, so proud!!

TGIF

I am delighted it is Friday! We find out the gender of the baby on Monday. I can hardly wait. I had first thought I would not find out the gender with this one, but I cannot help myself. I really don't care wither way. Dillon says he want a little sister. I have a feeling he will deny that later!

The patching of the eye is going pretty good. It is a little struggle to get it on him every morning, but once it is on, he is OK with it. We ordered him some non-adhesive patches today. The adhesive is really hurting the skin around his eye - it almost looks like a burn.

Jason FINALLY went to the Dr yesterday after about 3 weeks of being sick. He has a major sinus infection and is on some major antibiotics. (I used major twice in one sentence!) Hopefully that will do the trick!

Happy Friday to everyone and I hope you have a good weekend!!

My little guy

So for those of you that don't know, Dillon has a lazy eye. That is why he wears glasses. We also dilate his good eye to try and get him to use his bad eye. We are supposed to patch the good eye, but you can imagine how that goes with a 2 1/2 year old! We took him to the doctor yesterday for a check up. The doctor pretty much told us if we wanted him to be able to see out of the "bad" eye, we better start making him patch it for 6 hours a day! He put the patch in his eye and Dillon immediately started crying - "I can't see, I can't see!" You see (no pun intended), his brain has trained the "good" eye to take over and be the dominate. So, he really cannot see too good out of the other eye. Needless to say, when he began to have this meltdown, I did too. I cried and cried. I looked like a lunatic in the reception area when we were checking out. The guy making our next appointment even asked me if I was OK. I kept thinking - for heaven sakes, it is an eye, not a heart!! I swear. If I could be anymore emotional!!! I also worry about other kids making fun of him. That is the worse when you are a parent!

Anyway, so far so good. We are on day 2 and he is not fighting too bad. He put it on this morning and has not asked to take it off. We are building it up. I have a feeling there will be a lot of M & M's for rewards!! Wish us luck! And if you see Dillon with his patch on, tell him how cool it is!!!

This and that:

I went to San Diego on Sunday and got back Tuesday night. Before you get all jealous, know that it was warmer here in Missouri than in California! It was rainy and cold. Then I got to come back to snow and FREEZING temps!! Flights sucked, but we did present at a national conference and it was very well received.

So now I am back to the daily grind. Jason is sick again. He cannot seem to shake this throat and chest stuff. I think it is almost time for a Dr visit.

Here is an article I could not resist including.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Enjoy the Super Bowl!!
