Why am I doing this?

Good weekend - went too fast!

I don't remember Friday. Funny. Saturday, Jason and I went out alone. Lexie watched Dillon and they had a blast! I think he could have cared less if we came home or not. Sunday, we took Lexie home, slept, went to the library and chilled. It was nice.

It is pouring buckets of rain. Anyone want to come and swim in my backyard?

Ready to put this week to bed!

If you read my blog, you know this has been a crap week at the Ozenberger house. I am ready to be done with it. I had the icing on the cake this morning. (Warning - if you laugh and I find out about it, I will no longer speak to you! I mean that nicely!) I got up this morning to get ready for work. Friday is more casual, so we can wear jeans. Yeah, for Fridays! I put on the only pair of maternity jeans I own and they ripped in the seat. First off, pregnancy is a WONDERFUL thing, but the second time around the bodily changes totally screw with your head!

I am done and I am not sure why I shared that with you all except for the fact it is therapy to type it out!

The end:

Bailey died today. We found her this afternoon very cold and unable to stand. Jason called the Vet and he took her in and had her put to sleep. Jason went alone. I could not do it. He is a champ and my hero! He handled it very well. I know she is at peace now - no more pain. We are sad of course, but understand she would never get better.

And it continues:

We made an appointment to have Bailey put to sleep yesterday and a hour before, I chickened out. I cannot do it. We gave ourselves a new deadline of Wednesday. I know I am being selfish and I am sorry for that. I even apologized to her. She is so sick.

I am to the point now though, I am ready for it all to be over. We have been on such a roller coaster ride the past week with her. It is so draining and Dillon is looking at us like "what the heck is going on?"

You might pray that we have the strength to do what we need to do. (Yes, I am aware that this is a cat, but you have to understand everything behind it - see previous post.)

What to do?

The dilemma continues in our house. What to do about our sick cat, Bailey? She is really sick. I was up all night and yes, a lot of it was crying. I just don't know if we should wait it out or have her put to sleep? Who can make those decisions?

Dillon is running a fever! He also has a cough and sounds hoarse. I guess I cannot take a day off without someone being sick!

Hope everyone had a good Easter! Dillon got some new outside toys - hopefully the weather will be good enough this week to use them there.

Body Butter

So my friend, Leslie got me Victoria Secrets Body Butter for Christmas. It is good stuff! I have become addicted to it. It feels so good on dry skin and a pregnant belly!! :-) Point is, I highly recommend it.

We got news on Bailey - I wish it was better. Her kidneys are failing. She is on antibiotics and special food. The Doctor wants us to give her IV fluids, but I think we decided not to. She was pretty bad Thursday and Friday, but seems to be a little better today. The Doctor thinks it is a matter of time and I do to. We are really hoping she goes on her own and we do not have to make the decision to put her down. There has already been some tears in our house. Bailey was my first pet and Jason's too. We got her after we were married, so we have almost had her 10 years!

On a final note - where did the good weather go? Happy Easter!!!

Happy Birthday Matt!!

Today is my little brother's birthday! Hope you are having a good one.

If you read Jason's blog you saw his title - It's gonna be funny. Dillon says that all the time about funny/happy things. It is a riot!! He is a little turkey! He totally manipulates his Dad. (Sorry Jason, you know it.)

I think there is something wrong with our cat, Bailey. She is pottying outside her litter box and she is VERY skinny. She is not necessarily acting funny (besides the pee) but I am still paranoid. I am going to try and get her into the Vet. Stinking animals!!

Our son now has a name!

And now, the rest of the story:

Jason loves Paul Harvey!

To finish the story about the Praxis test...Yesterday I took the Praxis. I signed up to take it because I applied for a school counseling position in Ashland. The interviews were Monday. How did I go? I don't know. I was sick in bed - remember. The coolest part of it all, I called Tuesday to reschedule and they would not let me. The interviews were done in one day - no rescheduling and they made a decision. Suck. Really still perturbs me, but such is life. I don't need the job and I was not sure I wanted it anyway. I just knew it was one of those positions that came around once every 20-3o years. The people that get those position stay forever. Anyway, on to the actual test.

I left my ticket for admittance at work. We do not have ink in our printer! I had to call another girl I knew taking it and ask her to print it. So we got there and waited. Then, we had to change buildings in the rain. Finally got to our room about 20 minutes late. Then I get the wonderful news that we have to stay for the whole 2 hours the test is scheduled for!! What? I could leave the LPC test when I was done. No bathroom breaks? Hello! I am pregnant!! So needless to say, I sat there for 45 minutes staring at the walls! The best part was Jason and Dillon took me and I estimated it would take a little over a hour and I was right, but I could not leave, so they waited in the car for over a hour. We did not eat until almost 2 pm!!!! Needless to say I was VERY irritated!!!

The good news is I got over 100 size one diapers. Some lady on Craigslist was giving them away and I got them!! Score!! If you would by chance stumble on to this blog - THANK YOU!!!

Now Dillon and I are watching Sesame Street and waiting for it to warm up so we can go outside and play!!

In a rut

I have been feeling like I am in a rut lately. I cannot quite explain it, just stuck. Not unhappy, sad, anything like that. Maybe impatient. I feel like I am not moving forward, just spinning my wheels. OK, now that I have talked about for 3 sentences I realize it does not make sense and I sound crazy! Oh well.

Dillon is getting so big so fast. He is truly my little boy now. I really am excited to have another boy on the way, even though Jason will not decide on names with me.

I am taking the Praxis examine on Saturday and I am not quite sure why. That is a long story though. Ask if you'd like to know.

Black Death Part 2

So I got sick again. I have never been so sick in my life in such a short period of time. It sucks. I felt so bad I had Jason call my Dr. I am feeling better now. This stuff is for the birds. I better not get it again.

On the good side of all this, I have never been more in love with my husband!! He really stepped up today and totally took care of me, Dillon and the household stuff. I am so thankful I had him to help. You really are the best, Honey!

Personally, I think I worked myself sick this time. I have been so busy with work the past few weeks, I think I wore myself down. I cannot do that anymore. I am getting to pregnant to run myself that ragged and my body reminded! Our bodies are such wonderful creatures!!!

Name

I think we are getting closer to a name. We will tell, but we have to make sure it is what we want. It is fairly challenging to name a child. It is a big responsibility! I hear some names and I think that obviously the parents did not take it as seriously as we do. For example, it you read my comments, Krista has a student named Sparkle. Isn't that the name of paper towels? I am sure we could all chime in with names that are ludicrous.

Hell week one is over. Next week is challenging, but not quite as bad as this one was.

Congrats to Seth and Kelly on officially being home owners! Have a good weekend everyone!
